Childhood Malnutrition Avatar: We’re dying out here.
Citizen: I’ve got a lot of financial concerns.
Childhood Malnutrition Avatar: Well, if dying isn’t enough, and there’s six million of us who do that every year; there are the tens of millions of us who are sick and diseased and we have no natural immunity working to rescue us. Some of us have not eaten in weeks and months and those of us who do eat either have poor quality food or treated food sent from developed countries that are overly processed and contain synthetic vitamins. We love the little we get, processed or not, but come on, we need help.
Citizen: Well, everything seems to relate to money. I’m behind on my car payment. The real estate taxes are due. My son is looking to go to college and there’s no way I can help him with that. I guess he starts his adult life in debt, just like I did. Bankruptcy is looking to be an answer for me. Credit cards get me over the hump and now they’re a hump in themselves. What I do earn disappears quickly. I need help.
Childhood Malnutrition Avatar: Well, like I said, death and disease seem to be our lot in life. And forget about getting an education. Our brains don’t even work well after months of malnutrition. We grieve the loss of siblings, relatives and friends on a regular basis and, overall, we consistently feel hopeless and helpless.
Citizen: I can’t sleep well at night. As a result, I’m always tired. Having a demanding boss at a job I desperately need to maintain is no fun. I’m always catching a bug, but then I don’t eat right, so why am I surprised. Always pinching pennies on the grocery bill anyway. The cheapest stuff’s the junk food. I mean how can I get out of this. I’m stuck. I’m doing everything I know to do. Where will I really be in ten to twenty years? I feel hopeless.
Childhood Malnutrition Avatar: More of the same. Death, disease, hopelessness.
Citizen: More of the same. Financial lack, stuck, hopeless.
Childhood Malnutrition Avatar: There’s absolutely nothing we can do. We’re children subject to the various circumstances in which we find ourselves. We have certainly prayed, but is God hearing us? Our parents, other adults and orphanage supervisors apply themselves as best they can with what is at their disposal, but the resources, especially nutrition, is incredibly limited. Scarce would be a better word. How could we, or our caretakers, be responsible enough to do something that makes a real difference?
Citizen: Well, I’ve got to keep doing what I’m doing. It’s a good job. I suppose I could get a part time job or consider a direct sales idea that I could do on the side. However, I would not be able to jump through all the hoops that I know would be expected of me, if I do that, unless some things have changed since I last tried that 7 years ago. But how can I make a real difference?
Childhood Malnutrition Avatar: Well, do you know of a way to get some nutrition to us? If you do, then we would appreciate it greatly. If you’ve got some money, why don’t you give it to feeding organizations. However, the top two organizations helped a total of 3.1 million of us last year and six million of us still die. So, something more will most definitely need to get done. Are there people in your culture who have come up with any better ideas? I’ve heard your economy is filled with money, even in the multiplied trillions. Why don’t you try to channel some of the money in your global market into a program that provides the nutrition we need? Now, that will demand that you not just throw money at our problem; that’s been done for years, it will mean that you take the responsibility to position yourself as a proactive generator of funds using that economy. And you can’t just be the only one. You will most definitely have to get others involved. We are a big problem. You’ll have to do it for no other reason than that it is the right thing to do. And is your economy big enough to help us and pay you for the work you do on our behalf? I hope so. Because we need you and your team members to stay incentivized, after all, we need nutrition every day.
Citizen: Well, do you have any ideas you could share with me? I know you can’t bail me out, but if you can help me find a worthwhile business opportunity that would be great. However, as much as I need the money, I really need to connect to something where the main purpose of the company really turns me on. I might be caught up in my own financial troubles, but I’m smart enough to know that I am not really helping myself spending time and energy on something that’s best described as “status quo.” Don’t connect me to something ho-hum. I’ve got to find some purpose. I don’t want another idea, everybody and their brother is into whatever’s popular these days; I want a fresh idea. So fresh and life-changing that I would do it even if I didn’t need the money.
Childhood Malnutrition Avatar: What we would like the future to look like is where we feel good; where our brains function normally and we can go to school; where sickness and death have all but disappeared. We want the future to be a place in our existence where a thought goes through our hearts and minds that announces with expectation that we now have a future and a destiny. We want to anticipate our tomorrows with joy. We want our future filled with the intimacies of marriage, the joy of children, the adventure of life’s work, and years filled with strength and vigor.
Citizen: What my future should look like is all my debts disappearing and my bills all caught up. I would like to help my son go to college and give him a better start than I had. And I hope the future is not filled with the same self-interest that has characterized my life until now. I don’t want any more dead-ends. Though I’ve got to have it, I’m old enough now to know money’s not the be all and cure all. I want a future where my marriage is healthy, my children and grandchildren like having me around, where my work takes on real meaning, and my years left are filled with significant accomplishments.
Childhood Malnutrition Avatar: Let’s pray that God will raise up a genius idea that brings all of what I just mentioned to pass in a manifest way. And let’s ask Him to do it quickly.
Citizen: Let’s pray that God will raise up a genius idea that brings all of what I just mentioned to pass in a manifest way. And let’s ask Him to do it quickly.
Childhood Malnutrition Avatar: If you come up with an idea that could actually help us, then every single day of your existence should include efforts to tell others about that idea and get others involved. Failure to do that and we continue in our malnutrition and its complications.
Citizen: If you have an idea that could actually help me and is characterized by what I mentioned earlier, then don’t fail to tell me what it is. And if it’s truly a vehicle that could take me someplace then, I also must not fail to get the word out. Just show me how.
Childhood Malnutrition Avatar: Once you get your idea in place, you could use many resources. I understand you have Internet and smartphone automation that could get the word out to the masses. And my guess is that you have all kinds of ways to get the ball rolling. Getting the word out must be as genius an idea as the one you implement to save our lives. Oh, and find people who care. This will be the best group of people to start spreading the word.
Citizen: Listen, I’m busy. I need something that all but gets the word out for me. I almost need a business manager. I’m not in denial here. I care about people and I know that relationships are important for building business, but I also know we live in a very high tech society. Surely there are some functions and automations I could implement using my cell phone, for instance.
At HopeQuestGlobal the purpose that includes the saving of lives of those malnourished works synergistically with the potential profits that our team members generate on their own behalf. We have found a way to connect the two people in this conversation to empower both of them effectively. It’s a fresh idea filled with both high tech and relational support to make participation simple and effective.
