Experience the Hope Movement
Know the Social Enterprise Business Model

Here’s the advice of Muhammud Yunus the 2006 Nobel Prize winner for his work as a social entrepreneur and as the founder of the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh. He created the micro finance concept for addressing poverty.

He said that if you want to change the world, find the people most compassionate about the problem you are attacking and connect them to the project. Then find a way to compensate them for participating in the project. If you do compensate them, they will drive your cause to the ends of the earth.

This bit of advice is why the Hope Movement has such promise and potential.

Take away the compensation element and all we have is a charity organization, which, though long on compassion can end up short on sustainability.

There is one thing worse than kids not getting something to nourish their body; and that’s nourishing their body for a time and then taking it away.
