Now that you have someone in our email system, always remember that our code of ethics asks that you contact your prospect first and obtain permission to place them on this email list.
Action:
You just got word that an email was generated and sent to your contact. Here’s what you do next. Contact them to assure they received the email. You do this because there is always the chance that their Spam Filter intercepted it. Assure him/her, and yourself, that emails are not caught in spam. This can be accomplished easily with a short phone call or text message.
If everything is going smoothly, your contact received a welcome email requesting confirmation. When they confirm, another email is generated immediately that starts the process. Another comes in three days. After that, all other emails will come approximately on a weekly basis.
Expection:
You, also, will receive emails relative to this or any other contact you place in the system. Your contact receives emails through this system in hopes they will stay engaged in the Hope Bar Project. And the emails you receive are encouragement for you to stay engaged with your contact. The emails we send you include practical advice and training.
Here’s a Script You Can Use by Phone or by Text Message:
“I just had the first email message sent to you. Please confirm you received it. Make sure it wasn’t caught in your Spam Filter. Thanks.”
